Faces & Other Random Markus Stuff

Markus is liking more and more stuff! Life is Great!

 Bath time is definitely his favorite time of the day!

 Again...falling asleep whenever and wherever!

 Markus is definitely a face puller! They are very entertaining and a lot of them come with a fun noise too!

 Markus can pull himself up on furniture and such, but when he is done he will just cry until someone comes and helps him down. :)

This is another one of Markus' favorite things to do.

Rosen Lake, BC

July 29 - August 7, 2011 we did a big trip to Rosen Lake in BC with the Watson family. Not all the family could make it, but we sure got a pretty big group together to enjoy the beautiful nature and wild life! We would often wake up to deer just roaming around in the backyard of our little cabin. They were very comfortable with people and would just keep going about their business while we were watching them! It was a really neat experience to see them so close!

This is another beautiful sight that we would often wake up to! Sometimes there were two or three at a time. I find humming birds really fascinating! They are pretty incredible little creatures.

Relaxing with the Grandparents!

 Markus got to spend a lot of time with grandma as Todd and I went on little canoe trips and quad rides.

 Captain Mayna!! It sure was fun to see these girls since they live so far away and it is rare that we get to see them!

Here  the whole gang before we went to church on our last day there! We sure had a blast. There are many more pictures including more of the members there, but I think there were 4 or 5 cameras going during the trip and I only got the pictures of one of them! We sure had a blast there! It was such a relaxing week!

 You might think that this is a picture of him in a random field, but NO this is our backyard. We have really healthy grass and with Todd being so busy with renovations and a job that works twice as hard during the summer months, the mowing of the lawn is up to me...Apparently I am not very good at keeping up with my jobs. :)

Final Birthday Party

The final birthday party took place at my parent's cabin (house) in Rocky Mountain House. The trip there was the first time Markus traveled in his big boy car seat! I think he really liked being able to see more than just the back of the seat!

 This is the first time Markus was near a lake and had a life jacket on. I had to work hard to distract him from the fact that he was wearing a lifejacket because he really hated it.

He was mad at us for putting him in the boat, but as soon as the engine was turned on he quieted right down and then when the boat started going fast he fell fast asleep. (So did daddy :) )

 It was a really fun and relaxing day. Markus got a lot of one on one time with people he doesn't get to see very much so that was really fun!

 He got a lot of time with Daddy, which was nice because he is working so hard at his job and then when he gets home the renovations on the house keep him very busy. He makes time for Markus, but this was a whole day when he couldn't do any work so he could just focus on playing with Markus and resting! It was Great for them

Fireworks

Between birthday number 2 & 3 we had a little detour to Hinton to do their Canada Day fireworks show. It is a Watson family business to shoot fireworks shows and this is one of this biggest ones they do! It is really fun to be a part of the set up and to be able to watch as daddy lights all the different fireworks. Markus was a real trooper and stayed up late enough to see the show!
